How to shop for the right painting

Do you have some empty spaces in your house or apartment that you could add some interest? Having an eye for the right painting will add some interests and decorate your walls.

First, you need to decide on the painting and the area that needs it. Second, you need to ask yourself what kind of painting you're interested in buying? For example, paintings with people, landscape, abstract, animals, flowers or collage. Choosing the right painting for your space will make a big difference in your decoration. Next, let's look at the different style of painting.


Style of paintings to consider for your decorating space



Contemporary
- Painting of this style uses a more modern technique. Upcoming artists of the 21st century are more electic in their style. You can see other influences on contemporary art if you choose this route.

Impressonist- This style of painting uses bright colors and depicts painting in the 19 century. Claude Monet popularized this style of painting with his (Impression, soleil levant). Art of this style captures images in a natural setting. The artist uses of light and the movement of brush strokes are techniques to look for when choosing this type of style.

Pop art- is art of the 20th century. This style of art uses advertisement, comic and graphics.
